About Public Transport Terminals and Hubs Mapping

The Ateneo School of Government’s Inclusive Mobility Project is taking the initiative to help map public transport terminals and hubs in Metro Manila. We commonly found them in street corners, vacant lots, roadsides and in malls. However, most of them are unrecorded and unaccounted. This makes the information regarding the seamless public transport interconnectivity difficult to find.

Why do we need to map public transport terminals and hubs?

  • Locating and mapping these transport facilities are crucial in order to assess the mobility and connectivity problems and opportunities in the Metro.

  • Effective management of our public transportation depends primarily in the identification and inventory of the existing public transportation facilities especially terminals and hubs (both formal and informal).

  • The proliferation of informal transport terminal and hubs (especially for tricycle and pedicabs) in most of the commercial, residential and industrial areas in Metro Manila necessitates the production of easily accessible maps and up-to-date information that will enable national and Local Government Units (LGU) better plan the transportation system.

  • Fast, inexpensive, timely and reliable data on public transport terminals and hubs to enrich the information on mobility.

Who should get involved?

Your local knowledge is very important. It is being envisioned that everyone contributes. Whether you are a student, businessman, driver, teacher, vendor, office worker, community volunteers, or government leader will each have valuable contribution.
